This past week I was able to meet my new 7th graders for the first time…

This week we will be doing an intial writing assessment~ this way I can see exactly where to begin our instruction… Next week, beginning on September 8th, we will begin our GRADE testing assessment. This is a reading diagnostic test that determines where every individual student’s strengths and weaknesses are. This will allow me to individualize instruction to the greatest extent possible.

Each of our lessons will be based on meeting the GLEs (Grade Level Expectations) for 7th grade. Our lessons and activities will be targeted on making the greatest amount of achievement possible.

What genre are your choices falling into?

I certainly hope that everyone has been taking advantage of our “free” time during the summer weeks… and finding some great titles to boot!
